On January 12, 2017 at approximately 7:20pm, Rehoboth Police Dispatch received a cell call from a motorist reporting a vehicle being operated erratically travelling north on Anawan St. The call described the vehicle as a full size pick-up truck. Officers were dispatched to the area and located the suspect vehicle in the area of Anawan and Tremont streets. At this time Officer Ranley observed that the right front tire of this vehicle was flat and the vehicle was operating on its rim. Officer Ranley conducted a stop of this vehicle on Tremont St, just west of Anawan St. After a road side investigation that included field sobriety testing, the operator of the vehicle was placed under arrest. The suspect was transported to the Station where he was processed and he was later released on personal recognizance by the bail clerk. The operator, 37 year old Louis J Walker III of Wrentham, will be arraigned in Taunton District Court on Friday January 13, 2017 on the following charges: OUI Liquor, Negligent Operation of a motor vehicle, Operating an uninsured motor vehicle, Operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, Operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and wrongfully attaching plates to a motor vehicle.
