On 09/29/2020, at approximately 9:49PM, the Rehoboth Police Department responded to a one car motor vehicle crash on Hornbine Rd. in Rehoboth. Initially this crash was reported to be in Swansea on Hornbine Rd. When Officers arrived it was determined that the crash occurred in front of 260 Hornbine Rd. in Rehoboth. Officers from the Swansea Police Department were already on scene tending to the female operator. Members of the Swansea Fire and Ambulance arrived shortly after officers from Rehoboth arrived. From the investigation conducted on scene it was determined that the vehicle was traveling north on Hornbine Rd. from Swansea into Rehoboth. Just after crossing the town line the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. The vehicle began to spin and turn on its roof when it collided with a second tree. The female operator was the sole occupant of the vehicle and needed to be extricated from the vehicle. She was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with what appeared to be serious none life threatening injuries.
