2nd Offese OUI Arrest

On Monday 07/22/2019 at 16:40 Hrs.  The Rehoboth Police Department received a report of an erratic operator on Tremont St. The caller stated that a vehicle had crossed over the center line into her lane of travel. This caused the reporting party to drive off of the roadway to avoid a collision. Off. Gil Lima responded to the area and located the suspect vehicle just over the line in Seekonk.  After observing several marked lanes violations and another near collision he stopped the vehicle on Central Ave. He was assisted at the scene by Off. Beaudoin and members of the Seekonk Police Dept.  The operator was identified as Jose Abreu, 56 of Pawtucket R.I.  After a roadside investigation which included field sobriety tests, Abreu was placed in custody and charged with: OUI Liquor 2nd Offense, Negligent Operation,  Marked Lanes Violation. Bail was set at $500. He is due in Taunton District court on 7/22/2019 to be arraigned on the charges.
