On 07/23/14 at approx. 1:30a.m. Sgt. Brian Ramos of the Rehoboth Police Department was on routine patrol when he observed a suspicious vehicle in a remote area of the Dorothy L. Beckwith Middle School parking lot, located at 330R Winthrop Street. Upon further investigation the vehicle was observed exiting the grassy area adjacent to a baseball field on the property. It was determined that the vehicle, Chevrolet Avalanche, had just driven off of the baseball field and had caused damaged to the property by “doing donuts” and spinning tires. At this time the Sgt. Ramos stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Fabian Herrero, 18 years old from Brockton MA. Herrero was subsequently charged with vandalism to the property and trespass by motor vehicle. Officer Timothy Bartucca assisted Sgt. Ramos with the investigation.
