MV Crash & OUI Arrest

On 10-22-19 at approximately 1900hrs Officer Lima of the Rehoboth Police Department was dispatched to the report of a motor vehicle crash on Mason Street near the Swansea Town Line.  Upon arrival it was determined one of the vehicles involved in the crash had left the scene of the accident prior to his arrival.  While investigating the crash the other driver returned to the scene to as a passenger in another vehicle.  During the course of Officer Lima’s investigation it was determined the same driver that had previously fled may have been operating his motor vehicle  under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.  Following his roadside investigation, which included standardized field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested for OUI Liquor 1st Offense and Leaving the scene of an accident.  Matthew Stock, age 40 , of Seekonk was brought the Rehoboth Police Station and was later released on personal recognizance.  Stock will appear in Taunton district court on 10/23/2019 for arraignment.
